Located in the Gansevoort Historic District, this site in the Meatpacking District was limited in developable area by the constraints of the district. A feasibility study was conducted to see how various different masses could be accommodated.

Using setbacks and stepped massing, the bulk of the building was broken down to fit with the low lying historic context and the long horizontal awnings of the original meatpacking premises on the ground floor.
