Salisbury/Schlessinger Residence
This Beaux Arts townhouse was designed in 1903 by Carrere and Hastings. While the imposing fireplace and overmantle and the arcuated Tiffany glass windows of the parlor floor have been maintained and restored, the ceilings are tall enough to accommodate two levels for various modern uses. New stairs provide access to these levels, which include kitchen, nursery, family room and bedrooms. A grand living room is created where new and old meet.
